A 6-year-old California boy suffered several injuries after he was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.
The details of the accident haven't fully been reported, but police say the boy was taken to the hospital and treated for a broken leg. When police arrived at the scene he was bleeding from the head, but his head injury is not considered to be serious.
When a car, truck, or SUV strikes a pedestrian, especially a small child, the outcome can be disastrous for the victim. In this case the victim suffered only a broken leg, but some accident victims are not so lucky. Victims of pedestrian accidents are incredibly vulnerable to injury, and could suffer anything from a broken leg to a back injury, to a serious concussion or even death. If you or a loved one has been hit by a car or injured in some type of pedestrian or motor vehicle accident, you should take a moment to speak with a personal injury attorney about your legal rights and options. If you can prove the driver of the vehicle the was negligent, reckless, or careless in his or her actions, and thus is liable for causing the accident, you could be entitled to compensation for your pain and suffering, psychological distress, medical bills, lost wages, and more! |

| Defective Products Lawsuit Filed Against Subaru Following Deadly Accident |
| Posted By Personal Injury Editor |

The family of a California woman who was killed when her Subaru Forester flipped and rolled over multiple times has filed a product liability lawsuit against the automaker.
The family of Lisa Ann Thayer say defects with the vehicle failed to protect their loved one in the accident. Thayer’s family has filed their
wrongful death lawsuit against Subaru of America Inc., Fuji Heavy Industries LTD of Japan, and Autoliv North America.
According to the family’s attorneys, Thayer was wearing her seat belt properly when she lost control of the vehicle. However, during the crash her seat belt broke, causing Thayer to be launched out of the vehicle’s passenger compartment. Thayer was killed in the accident, but fortunately her daughter survived with injuries.
The lawsuit claims that the vehicle’s occupant restraint system was defective, and that it failed to provide Thayer with the protection she needed—a federal requirement. The lawsuit also alleges that the defendants have known since the 1970s that the glass used in the vehicles could be laminated and enforced to help prevent ejection, but has simply failed to do so. On a similar note, the lawsuit also claims the defendants misrepresented vehicle testing data to the federal government regarding the windows’ safety, and that the defendants ignored suggestions from its own engineers to make the window system safer.
The family is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages for pain and suffering, person injuries, wrongful death, medical bills, and economic losses.
If you have suffered an injury in some type of SUV accident or roll over accident, you should take a moment to consult an experienced
personal injury attorney about your legal rights and options in regards to recovering compensation.

| SUV Accident Leaves 2 Injured and 1 Dead |

An SUV accident in South Carolina has left two people injured and one little boy dead.
The accident occurred in Fairfield County as 30-year-old Frank Brown was driving his Ford Expedition along Cook Road. The vehicle somehow ran off the right side of the road, but Brown was able to correct the situation and move back onto the road. Not long after, the SUV veered off the right side of the road again, this time hitting a tree and catching on fire.
Brown was driving with his two young sons, ages four and two. The four-year-old boy was killed in the accident. The two-year-old boy was ejected from the vehicle, but fortunately survived. He was taken to Palmetto Richland Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Brown was taken to the Augusta Burn Center for his injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident, but it is believed that a defect with the SUV or a condition on the road was likely to have contributed to the accident. Recent tests conducted on Ford SUVs found that the vehicles have design defects that make them inherently unstable, which in turn makes it difficult for drivers to control the vehicle. If the road was improperly designed, or if the county failed to maintain the road, that also could have contributed to the accident.
When an accident is caused by a vehicle defect or poorly maintain roadways, the vehicle manufacturer and city or county responsible for maintaining the road could be held liable for damages in a personal injury lawsuit. If you or a loved one has recently been injured in an SUV accident, you should take a moment to consult an experienced
personal injury attorney who can help you pursue a claim against the responsible party.
