After losing control of his bike, a man lost his life as well on Interstate 215.

Lt. Chuck DeDianous of the Colton Police Department reported that the victim, a 51-year-old male, was heading east on his 2005 Harley Davidson when the bike hit a curb, causing it to drive straight into a chain link fence. Although emergency personnel rushed to the scene, the victim died shortly after at the Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The motorcycle accident is still under investigation, as the cause has yet to be determined. The identity of the victim will not be released until the next of kin have been notified.

After fully investigating the accident, the North Carolina Highway Patrol has released the official report regarding the death of three teenagers on June 5.

The report includes all aspects of the car accident, including the route that the vehicle, a Dodge Challenger, took before it crashed into a tree. The accident was so terrible that Mike Khalil, the owner of the tow truck that took it away, described it as "unforgettable." The three victims of the accident were Matthew Speight, Lane Meyer and the driver, Austin Flowers. There was one survivor of the fatal car accident, Brenden Pearce.

Along with Pearce's testimony, police were able to determine that the vehicle was traveling at 129 mph before it hit the tree.

The two men struck and killed by an Amtrak train last week have finally been identified by the Chesterfield County Coroner, Kip Kiser.

According to Kiser, the victims - Glenn Locklear, 52, and Barney Driggers, 56 - sustained massive internal injuries that led to their death. Police reports show that Driggers and Locklear attempted to drive their vehicle over the tracks, but were instead struck by an Amtrak train carrying 244 passengers.

Woody Rorie, who lives nearby the crash site, commented that he "saw the Amtrak come through by the back of the house in a few minutes. I heard a bang-bam then I saw the police cars kept flying by the house." Officers later learned that the two victims worked for the City of Cheraw, and were picking up limbs and other debris from a nearby storm.

Luckily, nobody else was injured in the train accident. The passengers, however, were delayed several hours during the investigation.

Family members of a dementia patient were shocked to hear that the woman had been repeatedly abused by her care assistant.

According to the official report, the suspect, 43-year-old Paula Hawks, worked at the Chambersburg nursing home where the victim, a 93-year-old woman, lived. The incident was brought to the attention of the nursing home staff by a former co-worker, who witnessed Hawks pinching, hitting and even kicking the elderly woman.

The case was then referred to the Franklin County's Area Agency on Aging, who in turn contacted the Chambersburg police department. After investigating the circumstances, officers arrested Hawks on charges of simple assault. Richard Irwin, the president of the company that owns the home, commented about the incident, stating that "we took immediate action. When we first learned of the incident, we suspended this person." Hawks was later fired from her position at the home.

When a moped collided with a propane truck last week, one man lost his life.

Highway Patrol reports show that the victim, 44-year-old Roger Dowless, was riding his moped on North College Road when he attempted to make a left turn, but from the center lane. A propane truck in the turning lane swerved to avoid hitting him, but didn't have enough time to do so. Since Dowless was in the wrong, the propane truck driver was not charged with the crime.

Dowless was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead shortly after. At this time, officers have not ruled alcohol out as a contributing factor.

The man responsible for the fatal crash on New Year's Eve in Culver City is set to be arraigned on June 22.

Police reports show that the suspect, a 27-year-old man, ran through a red light, prompting nearby officers to pull him over. However, the suspect decided to keep driving, leading officers on a chase that ended when his Geo Prism crashed into an Infiniti SUV. Both the driver and passenger of the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was mildly injured.

The responding officers determined that the suspect was driving under the influence, and booked him on DUI charges. Since then, he has been charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident in collection with a collision, and two counts of murder.

After failing to protect a victim's mother, Fayette County Public Administrator Dennis A. Bradley has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Lexington police department.

Just one year ago Umi Southworth was shot by her husband, Donald Southworth Jr., outside of their home. When an employee from the coroner's office arrived shortly after, he discovered that Umi was still alive and had her transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, Umi lost her life the next day.

Since that time, Southworth had pleaded not guilty to the murder.

After a dog reportedly bit her daughter, a mother has decided to file a lawsuit against it's owners.

The complaint states that Stacia Reynolds daughter received a dog bite while on the property of C.L. White Paint & Wallpaper Inc. and Jonathon Peat. Reynolds claims that the defendants knew that their dog was dangerous but did nothing to protect others from it. Therefore, the blame for the dog bite should be placed on the owners, not only the little girl.

Through attorney Thomas Simon, Peat has already responded to the claim, denying any responsibility for the dog bite. The paint company also denies any responsibility for the accident.

Police are still investigation the tragic pedestrian accident that took the life of a young woman on Interstate 29 last weekend.

Police reports show that Menina Jones, 25, ran directly into the path of a car heading northbound on I-29. However, five more vehicles would eventually hit her as well before she could make it across. The first vehicle to hit her attempted to swerve, but was unable to do so successfully. At this time, the driver has not been charged.

It is uncertain why Jones was attempting to cross the roadway, as it appears that she did not have a car in the area. They will investigate the events leading up to her highway crossing to get a more accurate picture. Jones' death is the 29th fatality in Kansas City this year, up three from the same time last year.

A freak construction accident on Interstate 75 led to one driver being hospitalized.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation and local police, the driver, 20-year-old Joshua McBratnie, was heading south when his car hit a sign that had fallen into the left lane. The sign pierced his windshield and punctured his chest. Emergency personnel brought him to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.

At this time police are still investigating the accident, but they believe that all of the damage affected just the driver's side of the vehicle. An investigator commented that all road signs need to be held down with sandbags, but it is uncertain as to how many bags were initially used to hold down the fallen sign. State and local employees will be asked to be extra diligent when placing signs near the roadway after this unusual accident.

When one driver decided to go the wrong way down a busy parkway, a Massachusetts state trooper became injured in the process.

According to police reports Cara Della Barba was driving under the influence when she went the wrong way on a four-lane parkway. The officer, Brian Quigley, suffered just minor injuries, but was able to tell other responding officers that he had attempted to pull her over before she struck the front of his vehicle.

At the scene Barba was given and failed all of the field sobriety tests, providing cause for her arrest. Other passengers that were involved in the drunk driving accident were examined by emergency response personnel.

She has since been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence. Barba was released later that day on $5,000 bail and is expected back in a Dorcester court next week for arraignment.

After severely injuring himself in a motorcycle accident this weekend, actor Mdot Finley is spending his time in recovery.

The 23-year-old star of "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" after he lost control of his motorcycle in Malibu and drove off a cliff. Mdot, whose real name is Matthew, is being treated for multiple fractures at the UCLA Medical Center. In a statement issued by his rep, Finley said: "I crashed hard, but the love and support from my friends, fans and family have helped ease the pain. I love riding, almost as much as I love dancing. I'm praying to be back doing both soon."

In a Twitter post just a few days later, Mdot assured his fans that the recovery from his accident was going well.

A family in Jackson Township is lucky to have survived a tractor-trailer crash that should have cause more serious injuries.

According to the Northern York County Regional police, the crashed happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Biesecker Road and Route 30. Elizabeth Anderson was driving with her two grandchildren in a Chevrolet Cavalier when a tractor-trailer ran into their vehicle. The driver, Ray Heisely, along with the passengers of the Cavalier, were all transported to local hospitals for treatment. The deputy fire chief, Chuck Riley, reported that there were no serious injuries from the crash.

At this time police are still investigating the crash, and have yet to press charges on anyone.
