When officers first arrived on the scene, they found the motorcycle rider in the intersection of two local street. He was unconscious but soon awoke to speak with the officers. A family traveling back to South Carolina on Friday suffered a major tragedy when a car accident took the life of the driver.

According to police, there is still much to learn about the accident that happened last Thursday night. Officers' preliminary reports show that both the truck and the bike were heading east on an Interstate when they collided with one another in the outside lane. Both motorcycle riders were thrown from the bike, causing immediate injuries. The driver, a 48-year-old male, was also injured in the motorcycle accident.

After ignoring warnings about the dangerous nature of a mountain road, a semi-truck driver could now face a murder conviction.

The fatal truck accident, which took place earlier this year, claimed the life of two people and injured three more. The driver, a 46-year-old veteran of the road, didn't heed the warnings of an off-duty fireman who knew about the dangerous nature of San Gabriel Mountains for 18-wheelers. As a result, the driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed into a building at the bottom of the hill. He has since been charged with seven felony counts, including reckless driving, gross vehicular manslaughter and second-degree murder. When someone is bitten by a dog, one of the first concerns is whether the animal has rabies. Such was the case of a young teenage girl who was bitten by a dog last week in Nebraska.

According to police reports, the girl was out jogging with her cross-country teammates when she passed by an older couple. They were walking two dogs, a smaller and larger canine, both of which were on leashes. Suddenly, one of the dogs started to nip at her pants, actually piercing the fabric and going into her skin. When she looked up to say something to the couple, they had disappeared.

The Nebraska Humane Society is asking that anyone with information about the couple and/or their dogs come forward immediately. If the agency does not receive word soon whether the dogs were up-to-date on their vaccinations, the girl will have to undergo a series of painful shots.
