On Thursday, a gunman was reported as being on the run after a shooting that caused a five vehicle car accident during rush hour.

According to witnesses, two men exited their vehicles on the Crenshaw Boulevard onramp at 5:30 PM.  One of the men who stepped out from the vehicle pulled out a gun and fired at the other man.  A witness saw the shooter run away with the gun and a briefcase.

The gun man didn't hit anyone, but the man who was shot was placed under arrest by police for suspicion of assault with a vehicle.  Police say that at this time, the gunman remains at large.  They believe that the shooting and thecar accidents can be attributed to a drug deal that went bad.
